Regional Capacity Building for Positive Supports

Located in the same regions as our Regional Quality Councils; Arrowhead, Metro, West Central, and Southern MN.

The purpose of Regional Capacity Building is to promote and share information about Positive Supports regionally, and share recommendations with state leaders. Positive Supports are practices that improve quality of life and cultural responsiveness. Each region will form a network to build partnerships and help strengthen their communities.

We are gathering information about what is important in each region to share with state leaders. Providers have had many opportunities to learn about positive supports, share feedback, and shape services in their region. People with lived experience have not. We must involve a diverse group of people in this work, especially self advocates and their trusted supporters.
